Mustafa Akkaya is a distinguished academic specialising in tax law and public finance law.

He advises leading Turkish conglomerates, multinational corporations, and high-net-worth individuals on complex tax disputes, as well as a broad range of administrative and commercial law matters.

Prof. Dr. Akkaya graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law and completed his doctoral studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen in Germany. He was awarded the title of professor in 2008.

Alongside his legal practice, he has held prominent academic positions, including serving as Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ankara University between 2008 and 2011. He has also taught at leading universities and continues to lecture in various institutions.

He has extensive expertise in tax law, fiscal law, administrative law, public procurement law, and commercial law. His practice particularly focuses on tax litigation and dispute resolution.

Prof. Dr. Akkaya is the author of several influential academic works, including the widely recognised book Vergi Hukukunda Ekonomik Yaklaşım, which is considered a key reference in the interpretation of tax law norms.
